The HiCast App went live on March 22nd, 2022, just within eight months, perfectly timed for the baseball and softball season. This rapid and efficient development showcased our team’s dedication and expertise in delivering high-quality solutions within a tight timeframe.
The application was prepared to onboard all existing HiCast users seamlessly. Thanks to the team’s thoughtful planning and hard work, the team executed the migration in just one night. The smooth and successful transition encouraged the team to continue investing in their product, making iterative improvements with Mendix based on customer feedback and addressing internal process-based challenges. This ongoing commitment ensures that HiCast Sports Network remains at the forefront of sports streaming technology.
Post-launch, we have introduced several new features to further enrich the user experience, such as downloadable highlights, allowing users to create and download game highlights; integrated stream health check failure alerts for immediate notifications on stream issues; multi-view fluid switching for seamless transitions between different video streams; advanced payment gateway integration for handling refunds and dispute management; real-time scorekeeping to update viewers on game scores; and the incorporation of video advertisements.
